The Spectrum System 1000 is an 8-inch, grinder/polisher designed for use in low to medium volume laboratories. This model can be provided as a standalone base device, or for semi-automatic sample preparation, via grinding/polishing head. The two 8-inch wheels are driven by the powerful 3/4 HP motor, and the device can be expanded via head assembly and an optional dispenser, maximizing efficiency and throughput capability. It also has a timer for monitoring grinding and polishing times, removing the costs and risks of over-grinding or over-polishing, and freeing the operator for other tasks. This unit features a simple one-button operation, variable speed base, adjustable water faucets and compact, shop-hard design, capable of handling up to six 1¼ inch samples simultaneously.
